If you need help syncing Ladder and the Apple Watch for the first time or experiencing issues with syncing the watch, this is for you.

<aside> 🌐 APPLE WATCH DOES NOT SYNC WITH LADDER WEB Unfortunately, this is not technically feasible. If you are an Apple Watch user, the watch will not pair directly with web browsers. We have some ideas for the future but as it stands, this is not currently possible.

<aside> 🚨 If your watch is stuck in READY state after working before, this fixes 99% of issues...

  1. From your phone, go to the Watch app
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Is the Ladder app on the watch fully installed or is it spinning (aka loading)?
  4. If it is spinning, it is trying to update. This needs to be fully updated to work. Here is what works sometimes:

How do you know if Ladder and Apple Watch is syncing correctly?

To test if the phone app and watch is synced, start a workout with your watch nearby. Verify via bluetooth that the watch is connected. When you start a workout, the watch should automatically bring up Ladder. The current movement along with stats (calories and BPM) should be displaying in real-time.

  1. The app on your watch needs to be downloaded and installed (ideally your iOS and watchOS is up to date)

    1. On phone, search ‘Watch
    2. Scroll down to Ladder and click into details
    3. Ensure toggle to Show App on Apple Watch is ON

  2. Apple Health Data turned on from the PHONE

    1. This prompt is presented the first time you start a workout. If you elected not to TURN ON ALL the first time, check the next step.

    2. To ensure it is on, go to SETTINGS → Search HEALTHDATA ACCESS & DEVICESLADDERToggle ON all read/write access

  3. Apple Health Data must be turned on from your WATCH

    1. On your watch, go to Settings
    2. Go to Health
    3. Scroll down and click Apps
    4. Scroll down to Ladder (if there are two Ladder apps on watch, complete following steps for both)
    5. Click into Ladder and Turn On All toggles to allow syncing
